Hi all,
My sis just got her windows replaced, however there's now such a wider and deeper gap between the contact (a combo inertia/reed type on an Aritech panel) and the window magnet that the switch no longer closes.
The new window frames have a large, curved bevelled edge about 1cm wide and deep where I cannot mount the sensor. The contact and magnet aren't even on the same plane anymore. Even if I raise the magnet the gap across the bevel is still too large, so it looks like the inertia combo unit will need to be replaced (or maybe add a contact seperatly?)
Any ideas? I saw that the GE/Aritech 711 (combo inertia) spec sheet has a 25mm gap - but can I rely on this to work in the deeper recess? Any recommendations for similar?
Thanks!
