Hi,
I recently had a builder damage an Inertia Sensor and I replaced it with a new one. However, I cannot arm that Zone now as the panel is saying the Zone is open. I think I have replaced the sensor wiring exactly as before. The sensor is a GE 6xx I think and I made sure that the sensor is oriented correctly with the Aritech name readable.

I have an Artitec CS350 and I have checked the manual.

Is there a requirement to reset the Zone after a sensor is replaced. If so, how do I do this? I have the engineering code.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

If it says the zone is open then its open. Are the reed contacts wired in also...
If so is the replacement sensor also a reed 611 or 613
When it shows zone open is there a small t beside the zone number, this would indicate a tamper on that zone.

Thanks Colm for the quick response. I solved the issue.

The wiring for the new sensor was correct. The problem was that I had taken off the cover of the sensor in the next room to check the wiring for the new sensor and inadvertanty had accidently replaced the vibration sensor upside down. The arrow on the side was facing down. I changed this to point upwards and the alarm panel then showed that the Zone was closed.

I did not see Tamper with little t on the Zone because I think the Tamper Circuit was OK.

One further question please:
I noticed that the Zone name on Zone 5 is Call "Alarm Installers Name". Why is this? Is this to trigger this message on the panel when there is a problem? Does this mean I can use Zone 5 or do I have to leave it alone.

I am looking for an extra Zone for installation on two Velux windows.
Thanks

I would say zone 5 is a tamper zone. Check zone type. If so the connections for this zone can be connected into terminals 18-19 (Aux Tamper)
Reprogramme zone 5 as alarm & connect your velux windows
