Apologies in advance if this query has been answered previously....

I have just moved into a second-hand house with a Aritech CS350 alarm system. I want to change the access code to a new one of my choosing, how do you do this?
I have the manual and the Engineers code but I can't seem to find in the manual how I go about this. Can anyone give me a basic guide on how I might do this.

Thanks.

Thanks Colm
Ive entered in the user code but the system is just arming itself either if i select the tick button or dont select the tick box and the console is instructing me to 'Leave now'

So im not getting option to scroll to users. Actually i dont even know how i can scroll to users option you mention in reply. I thought it might be via the up or down arrow on the control panal but these seem to do nothing and the control panal display just asks me to enter code when i select these

Thoughts? Advise?
Thanks

Your code does not have the privledges set to allow you to change codes.
Do you have the engineer code? This will be required to change code privledges.

Thanks for the reply
Unfortunately i dont have the engineer code - only code i got when i moved in was the code to set the alarm when leaving the house

How would i go about getting engineer code - Is it case of having to get alarm company out and they'd have engineer code and can sort this

If so, and this is only option, any advise regarding alarm company recommednations that could use - pm me if you do

Thanks

Alarm company's are reluctant to give out engineer codes, but you could try.
PM me you location, If your in or around Dublin we can sort it or get another local company for you

Hi,

I have the Aritech CS350, a few years back when i moved into my house the inside alarm siren started ringing in the middle of the night. I could not get it to stop and can't remember if i had the code or not. I pulled the mainfuse and battery wires and left it powered off.

The other day when renewing my house insurance over the phone i noticed one of the terms and conditions read out to me was that the house had a fully functioning alarm.

I've just taken the panel off, have powered it back up and i'm trying to reset it.

The first problem i'm having is the siren is ringing and there is no alarm showing on the control panel.

The second is that none of the default passwords work.

When i press the down arrow twice i get a 'code accepted' message and it just scrolls through all the zones that are open / activated. When it reverts back to the time it signals that the alarm is de-activated (even thought the siren is still ringing).

When i remove the battery, main fuse & factory default pin (JP1) the control panel does not revert back to the language settings, it just reverts back to the time 'Fri, 16th September 16:00'.

Can anyone help me figure out what the problem is? How to reset it? How do you flash the ROM?

Thanks,
James.

The system is engineer locked. You will need either the existing engineer code or get an engineer out to flash the chip to default the system.
PM me the Installation Company & I'll see if I can help.

Does you user code give you access to the user menu?
To get an engineer out will vary between €60-€100
