Hi, I have a 10 year old Scopetronic Vista 5 alarm in my house and the company that installed it are gone out of business.
I need to replace a PIR and the the back up battery.
How do I find out the service code that will allow me to do the necessary replacements.
Thanking you in advance. :???:

It all depends if the engineer code has been changed or if the system is engineer locked.
The factory engineer code is 1234 you could try this first. If that doesn't work you could try a factory default of the system. Procede as follows:
Power down the system & disconnect the battery
Locate the factory link marked LK1 around the center of the main PCB
Remove this link
Power up the system & disarm using the factory user code 4567
If the system disarms enter the engineer code 1234 to access the engineer menu.
Replace the LK1 link.
If the system does not disarm with the default user code then the system is engineer locked & I'm afraid you will need an engineer to reset your alarm system.
If that fails
Replacing the battery & PiR can be done without this anyway.

Remove the mains fuse (Or turn off the trip switches till you find the one serving the alarm) & disconnect the battery.
