I am thinking about installing an alarm system in my new house. The house is prewired for an alarm. I am looking at the Astec alarm system. What is the difference between the different Astec Alarm models. 63,63D,63DV,49,49D,49DV?

The numbers refer to the ammount of zones tha panel can take. A 63 control panel can take 6 zones & 3 PiRs, A 49 panel can take 4 zones & 9 PiRs. The D means a dialler is included DV means a Voice dialler is included.

i know this post is very old but to anyone considering an Astec system i recommend them to the hilt. i have had one in my home for 5 years now with no trouble. replaced 1 shock/contact and just the backup battery today. brilliant alarm and very reliable.
