CS350 & new windows

Help with Aritech CS350 security system. I Have an Aritech CS350 installed for about 4 years.I am currently building an extension and I want to extend the system to cover the new windows & Patio door.My friend says I need an engineer code to do this.Would this be necessary?

The engineer code puts the alarm system into a mode whereby tampers & faults are ignored.It would be helpful but should not be essential for you to have this.If the existing windows are disconnected without entering the Engineer code the alarm system will activate.This can be disarmed with your existing user code.When you have completed reconnecting the new windows the alarm should arm as normal.If after a tamper activation the display shows "Call Alarm Co.##" then the system needs to be reset.There are a series of codes that can reset the system depending on the number displayed. These codes are not freely available but we can recommend an alarm company in your area should this is necessary.
