Hi, Is there a way I can disable the buzzing sound my alarm makes when I switch on the downstairs zone at night. I have it set for 30 secs to allow me to escape upstairs when set. It would be better if it was silent at it wakes up the kids sometimes? Thanks

There should be an option to part-set the system. This will leave the infrared detector off at night. I presume this is why you need the timer on?
Depending on the type of HKC alarm system you have installed, there are a few different ways to try this. If it is a Securewatch system you could try using the command 0#7 or 0#8 . Let me know how this goes & what model os alarm system it is.

hello John , I was checking as to the was your alarm system is configured. In most cases 0#7 would be a silent & instant part set. Your alarm system has a timed part set to allow you to pass the detector on the way upstairs.
A silent part set can only be done by changing some of the settings on your alarm to exclude that zone during a part set & setting the command 0#7 to silent.
These changes can only be made in engineer mode. Do you have the engineer code for your alarm system?
(factory code = 1234)
