ASTEC 63 ALARM

I HAVE INHERITED AN ASTEC 63 ALARM FROM A PREVIOUS OWNER BUT THE ALARM IS DISCONNECTED. I HAVE ALSO GOT THE ALARM USER GUIDE. ALTHOUGH I CAN GET AN ELECTRICIAN TO RECONNECT THE ALARM, HOW CAN I SET A CODE NOW, IF I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE CODE WAS BEFORE IT WAS DISCONNECTED?.



ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

The alarm system needs to be defaulted back to factory settings.
Remove all power from the system , mains & battery
Remove the factory link on the left hand side before powering up the panel again.
Replace the link
The system should disarm with the user code 4711
The system should then revert to the factory Engineer code code of 1174
If this does notwork then the alarm system is engineer locked & you will need an engineer to reset it for you.
