Aritech CP32

We have Aritech CP32 working perfectly until we switched on lights and lights blew. We had to reset trip switch and next time we opened the front door the alarm went on, was switched off. We entered the code but it would not switch off and ended up having to dismantle. Can anyone shed some light on this for me.

The battery is dead & needs replacing.
The factory code of 01122 will dis arm the alarm.
When new battery is inserted enter 01122 to set the system, when buzzer sounds press * # new code *
