Astec 63 test

I have an astec 63 alarm system. Is there somewhere I can download the instrucion manual, or alternatively, is it an easy job to test the individual sensors [without actually setting the system]. One of the zones is setting the alarm system off [even when the system is not activated] and I want to find out which sensor is at fault [it comes up zone 4, but the installer -7 years ago- didn't list which zone is which].

Your can purchase manuals from Manuals order page http://www.alarmshelp.com/manuals1 . If the system is going off when it is not armed it would be caused by a wiring problem or a system fault.
The Astec alarm system is very precise in locating faults.
What does it display when you dis arm the system after an activation?
When it says zone 4 what else is displayed?
