ASTEC 63 alarm

My alarm is showing ' 61 call engineer' and will only set if I press CLEAR SET FULL - can you advise what problem is and how to fix it ?

Call engineer 61 tell you Battery voltage remains low after charging (mains on for 7 hours). Display cleared by replacing the battery.
Note: This display will also appear if the battery is not connected, i.e. battery link is not in position.

thanks is it easy to replace the battery yourself and can i buy the new battery in Dublin?

Any alarm suppliser in dublin can supply the battery you need,,
1.8 amp 12v dc rechagrable
The Astec alarm system is not the easiest to change the battery in. Open the top of the contrrol panel then remove the 3 screws to remove the front cover.
There are 2 screws holding the PCB in place, remove those.
Cut the cable tie & remove the old battery
Replace the PCB, cover & panel lid & the fault should be gone!
