Cabintet tamper

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows how to reset the alarm when the message "cabinet tamper" comes on. My alarm was set off on Saturday by thunder or lightening and the Orange light is also on.

Have been quoted 75 euro for someone to call out? Battery is fine as far as I know.

Cabinet tamper usually refers to the lid on the control panel. If this is an Aritech security system it could also be the Auxillary tamper circut.
Short out the auxillary tamper circut & check when replacing the lid the you hear the spring click closed. If cabinet tamper still shows it is possible that the main PCB has been damaged by lightening.
A €75 call out is around the industry standard but it should include a full service also.

Yes its an ARITECH CS450. "Short out the auxillary tamper circut".
Excuse my ignorance, can you explain how to do this?

Do you mean the control panel, as in the keypad or the box in the hotpress

yes the box in the hot press. Find the 2 terminals marked Aux Tamp. There is a diagram inside the lid which may help.if there are connections into these terminals remove them & wire a short lenght of cable between these 2 terminals
