What sort of problems are you having ?

I want to power down the alarm system to connect in a new set of contact sensors to an existing zone.I have added an extension to the house and don't want the hassle of trying to figure out how to install a new zone so I thought I could add the window onto an existing zone.

Now I can do this by knocking of the CB that the alarm is on and disconnecting the backup battery in alarm panel box. I then have to wait 20 mins while the bell box rings out, I presume it also has a back up battery.

Now I bought a code of the installers and when I enter it I would expect this, to stop the ringing and thus prevent me have to kill the power each time i want to work on the system. How can I tell if this code is an engineering code ??

I have access to certain additional functions on the keypad that the user password doesn't have?

seems like you have a manager code , not the engineer code. Can you post a screenshoot of when you enter the code
