Astec 63DV battery

Hi,
I need to replace the battery. Can anyone advise on where to buy one and how to fit it. (Dublin centre / south)

Hello walshy & welcome to the forum. You can purchase Astec batteries here (http://www.alarmshelp.com/shop/index.php?productID=115) .
Replacing the battery is an Astec system is a little more complicated that most, but here goes anyway.
>Turn off the mains power
>Remove the main panel lid by turning doth plastic screws to vertical & pull the lid towards you.
>Dis arm using you normal user code
>Remove screws located to the left & right & behind the warranty void sticker beside the mains fuse
>The Main PCB is held in place by 2 phillips screws located centre & to the right.Unscrew these to remove the main board & access the battery
> Replace the battery observing the red (+) & Black (-) polarity
> Replace PCB
>Replace Cover
>Lid & Fuse

its handy to get it out all right. my battery needs replacing too. the one in your shop is 1.8 amp but the ont in the panel was 2.1a/h. will the one ye have be ok?

i got my battery today thank you. fitted it in 5 minutes. green lights all the way again.
