Hi

Just moved into a house with a Astec 63 alarm and no one knows the 'old' alarm code. I need to get the alarm reset so that I can use it.

I have called around some alarm shops and none of them deal with this model.

Does anyone know how I can manually reset the alarm myself or know of an alarm shop or electrician who I can call to come out and reset.

The house is in Phibsboro, Dublin 7.

Any help much appreciated.

You could try defaulting the system to factory settings. If this does not work then the panel is engineer locked. Let me know & we can send you details of who can reset it for you.

1> Remove mains power from the panel
2> Remove Battery link (After last terminal on the right
3> Remove Factory Link LK1 (before first terminal on the left)
4> Reconnect mains power to the system
5> Enter clear 4711 If the system has been reset then this code should disarm it. If so then enter 1174 to enter engineer mode.
6>Replace Factor & battery links

Please note under new legislation you must only emply licenced aAlarm installers to work on your Alarm System. Anyone we recommend would be licenced.

Hi

After looking further at this I think i'd prefer to get in a proper alarm installer. I would be grateful if you could suggest someone who might be able to work with this type of alarm.

Many thanks
